The Silver Foils Women's golf group has a scholarship opportunity for you.  You must meet the following criteria to be considered:

 The Janice M. Scott Memorial Scholarship

The UNCG Teacher Education Fellows Program awards a $20,000.00 scholarship distributed incrementally over four years of study at UNCG. In addition to scholarships, the UNCG Teacher Education Fellows Program includes a variety of other benefits, including integrated seminars, networking events, community engagement opportunities, and leadership development. Fellows also live in relative proximity to one another as part of the Residential Colleges or Lloyd International Honors College. Additionally, Fellows study abroad during their sophomore year as part of the global focus of the program.

To be eligible for participation in the UNCG Teacher Education Fellows Program, a student must be a North Carolina resident and have a recommended minimum 3.80 weighted cumulative high school GPA and a minimum SAT verbal and math score of 1170 or ACT composite score of 24.

The Sandhills PRIDE Scholarship

The Sandhills PRIDE LGBTQ support network has a scholarship opportunity for you.  You must meet the following criteria to be eligible:

-A completed application

-A resident of the Sandhills region

-Identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, gender queer student or as a straight ally, who has demonstrated advocacy for the equality and support of the LGBTQ community.

-Minimum of a 3.0 Unweighted GPA

-A 500 word essay

-Two letters of recommendation

The Mary Ruth Heil Excellence in Action Awards

This is an excellent opportunity for those who have a special talent in Dance, Drama, Film, Literature, Music, Visual Arts or Sports and would need help in the form of a mini-grant to help fund money your dream.

You will need to supply a demonstration of your talent, i.e CD or DVD or Writing sample, and have a teacher sponsor you in what your talent is.  

Deadline for the application to be completed and your talent documented is March 28, 2018.

Randolph Communications Scholarship

  Randolph Communications has a scholarship opportunity available.

 You must meet the following criteria:

 -You must be a dependent of a active subscriber to Randolph Communications.

-You must fill out an application and submit a one page essay

-You must submit a photo and ACT/SAT scores

-You must get a Guidance Counselor to fill out a student profile form

-You must provide an educational resume

-You must also create a one page statement about yourself and your accomplishments and contributions to you community.

Robbins Elementary School has a scholarship opportunity for you.  The criteria for the scholarship is listed below:

The Lenoir Rhyne Teaching Scholars Scholarship program is currently recruiting exemplary high school seniors interested in the Education field. Fall 2018 applications are being accepted now. Priority consideration will be given to students applying by January 31, 2018. The Eunice Riggins Memorial Scholarship is open to any young woman who is currently graduating from an accredited high school in North Carolina and who expects to enroll in a four-year college or university in North Carolina next fall, and who meets eligibility requirements. This is a one-year (nonrenewable) scholarship in the amount of two thousand dollars ($2000).

Eligibility Requirements: A) Application submitted to college of choice; B) Academic rank in top 10% of class; C) Minimum SAT score of 1220 or ACT composite score of 25; D) Good character; E) Participation in extra-curricular activities (school and community); F) Financial need(not a primary consideration).

The Mary Rose Mills - Linda Rankin Memorial Scholarship is open to any student who is currently graduating from an accredited high school in North Carolina and who expects to enroll in a four-year college or university next fall, and who meets eligibility requirements. This is a one-year (nonrenewable) scholarship in the amount of two thousand dollars ($2000).

Eligibility Requirements; A) Application submitted to college of choice; B) Academic rankin top 10% of class; C) Minimum SAT score of 1290 or ACT composite score of 27; D) Good character; E) Participation in extra-curricular activities (school and community); F). Financial need (not the primary consideration) .

The Clare Johnson Marley - Mary Earle Berger Fine Arts Scholarship is open to any student who is currently graduating from an accredited high school in North Carolina and who expects to enroll in a four-year college or university next fall, and who is declaring as his/her major an area of the fine arts. This is a one-year (non-renewable) scholarship in the amount of two thousand dollars ($2000).

Eligibility Requirements; A) Application submitted to college of choice; B) Academic rank in top 20% of class; C) Minimum SAT score of 1220 or ACT composite score of 25; D) Good character; E) Participation in extra-curricular activities (school and community); F) Financial aid (not the primary consideration.)

 The Sandhills Alumni Chapter has a scholarship opportunity for those who meet the criteria.

 The Kiwanis Club of the Sandhills Moore County has a scholarship opportunity.

2018 MASON ALLEN WAGNER SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

Mason was born and raised in Pinehurst, North Carolina. He and his brother, Austin were raised by a single mother, Victoria Wagner.  Mason left an imprint on so many lives and touched so many hearts during his short stay here on Earth. The Alisha and Devin Garner Memorial Band Scholarship

Criteria to be considered for this scholarship:

1-Planning on attending a 2 or 4 year college or university.

2-A student who has been in band for four years (All 8 Semesters).

3-A Grade Point Average of 3.2.

4-Involvement in extracurricular activities and community service.

5-Provide one reference from someone other than a parent.

6-Write an essay

7-Complete a face to face interview

Tri-County Ruritan Scholarship

The Tri-County Ruritan Club has a scholarship opportunity available.

The requirements for this scholarship are a 2-3 page essay that address several items and topics.

Elise Middle School Scholarship

Elise Middle School has a scholarship opportunity for you.  To be eligible for this scholarship you must:

-You must have attended Elise in the 6th, 7th and 8th grade.

 Criteria for the Tin Whistle Scholarship Application is as follows:

-Demonstrated Leadership Capability

-A demonstrated need for financial assistance

NCAEOP Scholarship

 The NCAEOP has scholarship opportunity for you.  Some of the criteria needed for this scholarship are as follows:

 -A current photograph

-One page essay on "Why you are furthering your education."

-Three letters of recommendation

The Delilah Williams Scholarship

The Delilah Williams Scholarship is now available.  Please complete the application along with the essay.  This scholarship is available to all those in the senior class.   All completed applications are due on April 16th, 2018.  This is a local scholarship that will go to two North Moore students.

The Kimberly H. Morris Honorable Teacher Scholarship is now available.  The criteria for this scholarship is as follows:

-You must be planning on becoming a teacher.

The Hackney-Juliber Scholarship

 The application for the Hackeny Juliber Scholarship is now available.  Please complete the application and return it to Coach Coble by April 10th, 2018.  This is a local scholarship that will be awarded to a North Moore senior and is open to all seniors.  Please see Coach Coble to pick up a copy of the application.

The Leo D. Coble Music, Theater and Art Scholarship

In order to apply, each applicant must:

1-Plan on majoring in theater, music or art in college or have been in the band or theater programs here at North Moore for two years or have completed two levels of visual arts or ceramics classes.

2-Enclose one letter of recommendation.

3-Provide an Educational Resume.

4-Complete the written essay in the application.

This is a local scholarship and one North Moore student will win this award.  It is open to all seniors who meet the criteria state above.

The Betty Byrd Coble Business Scholarship

 In order to apply, each applicant must:

  -Plan on majoring in an area of business in college, or are a member of FBLA.

  -Enclose one letter of recommendation.

  -Have a Grade Point Average of at least 2.6.

  -Provide an Educational Resume.

  -Complete a written essay.

This is a local scholarship and it will be awarded to a North Moore student.  It is available to all members of the senior class who meet the criteria.

Seven Lakes Family Dentistry Scholarship

 The Seven Lakes Family Dentistry has a scholarship opportunity for you.   In order to be eligible for this opportunity you must have the following:

 -Strong academic performance

- A Personal goals letter

-A Completed application

- An Educational Resume

The Wayland Kennedy Scholarship  

 The Wayland Kennedy Scholarship has an opportunity for you.  You must do the following to apply:

 -Complete an application, including the essay

-Have a Grade Point Average of 2.5

-Submit an educational resume

Knights of Columbus

The Knights of Columbus have a scholarship opportunity for you.  All seniors are eligible to apply. Applicants will be chosen based on academic excellence, financial need, and extra-curricular activities.   

A completed application must be completed and returned to Coach Coble by April 13th, 2018.

 

North Carolina Buffalo Soldiers Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to assist a student that may not have financial means to attend college.

The following criteria must be met in order to apply:

-Must be a graduating senior

-Must have at least a 3.0 Grade Point Average

-Applicant must have been in accepted in an institution of higher learning and then accordingly enrolled at the proper time to receive the grant.

The Moore County Cattleman's Association Scholarship

The Moore County Cattlemen's Association has a scholarship opportunity for you.  It's open to anyone attending a 2 or 4 year college or trade school and majoring in an agricultural-related curriculum.  Please complete the application in full. All completed applications are due by March 28th, 2018.

The Moore County Soil and Water Scholarship

The Moore County Soil and Water Conservation District Board is providing a scholarship to a graduating senior who wishes to further his or her education in natural resource conservation or any closely related field (environmental or agricultural studies). The $1000 scholarship will be awarded to any student graduating from public or private school in Moore County and plans to attend college in North Carolina. A good scholastic record is considered. The one year non-renewable scholarship will be paid directly to the college upon the students enrollment.

Requirements for scholarship eligibility is the application, the students high school transcript, two letters of recommendation and a letter from the applicant stating his/her plans and career goals.

The Carthage Rotary Scholarship

The Carthage Rotary has a scholarship opportunity for you.  Please complete and application, a brief letter explaining your educational and career goals along with your financial need, and an educational resume.  The completed requirements are due on April 16th, 2018.

First Bank Scholarship

 First Bank has a scholarship opportunity for you.  Please complete the scholarship application by writing an essay covering all topics included on the application. All applications and requirements are due on April 18th, 2018.  This is a local scholarship that will be awarded to one male and one female student of North Moore High School.  This scholarship is open to all seniors.
